The station is named after the Biocon Life Sciences campus at Hebbagodi. It was part-funded by Biocon as a corporate partnership, making it one of the few Namma Metro stations with a corporate naming sponsor. The station serves Biocon employees and the surrounding Hebbagodi area.
The first train departs at 6:00 AM (7:00 AM on Sundays) and the last train at 11:00 PM. The station is an elevated Yellow Line station with 2 side platforms. The next station towards the southern terminal (Delta Electronics Bommasandra) has an earlier last departure at 10:42 PM.
