Jalahalli Metro Station (JHL) on the Green Line serves a unique zone defined by Bangalore's defense and industrial heritage. Just 1 km from the historic HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) factory — once India's premier watch manufacturer established in 1953 — and near the Jalahalli Air Force Station, the station caters to defense personnel, industrial workers, and residents of BEL Layout and surrounding townships. It also provides connectivity towards the MS Ramaiah educational and medical cluster located 3-4 km away.

The first metro from Jalahalli Station departs at 5:00 AM (Tuesday–Saturday; Mondays start earlier at ~4:15 AM) and 7:00 AM on Sundays. The last train is around 11:00 PM. Jalahalli sits on the Green Line between Dasarahalli and Peenya Industry, on Tumkur Road (NH-4), and opened in May 2015.
Use Exit A — it opens onto the north side of Tumkur Road at Jalahalli Cross bus stop (100m). From here, the historic HMT factory is about 1km and Jalahalli Air Force Station roughly 1.5km, both easy auto rides. Exit B is better for BEL Layout residential areas.
MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital (4km) and MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology (3.5km) are best reached by auto from Exit A or Jalahalli Cross bus stop — fare is roughly ₹80–100. You can also catch a BMTC bus from Jalahalli Cross toward BEL Circle and change onward if needed.
