Yeshwanthpur developed around the railway station established in the early 1900s. The area grew as a major agricultural trading center with the APMC yard.
The first metro from Yeshwanthpur Station departs at 5:00 AM (Tuesday–Saturday; Mondays start earlier at ~4:15 AM) and 7:00 AM on Sundays. The last train is around 11:00 PM. Yeshwanthpur is on the Green Line.
Use Exit A, which leads directly to the Yeshwanthpur Railway Station side, about 500m (7–8 minute walk). Use the subway to cross Tumkur Road safely, and buy your return metro token before heading to the railway station to avoid queues.
Orion Mall at Brigade Gateway is about 1.5km from the station, roughly a 20-minute walk or a short auto ride. It has PVR Cinemas, a food court, and multiple brand outlets.
